BERLIN!!

My first night in Germany was amazing. We stayed at the Hotel Bogota which was conveniently located in the middle of the city so there were many stores and cites to see right outside the hotel. We went to a Christmas market where I tried Gluhwein, a hot wine for the first time. It was delicious an definitely kept me warm.

The next day we went on a tour of Berlin where we saw many buildings and the Berlin wall. The architecture was incredible everything looked so pretty. Also the Berlin wall was very moving and I even wrote my name on it.

We also went to the Checkpoint Charlie Museum were we learned about how hard it was for people to escape from east Germany to west Germany. Overall I loved Berlin. It was filled with so much culture and history. I would love to come back again.

Two More Days!!!!!!!!

I leave in two days for my Jan Term in Central Europe!! I am so excited! I’ve only gone out of the country a couple of times with my family to Central Europe, however never as long as two weeks. The reason I signed up for this trip is because I have always wanted to go to Europe and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. Also I am fascinated by the culture and I would love to know more about these countries and the cities we will be visiting. I am also looking forward to seeing the opera because I have always been curious as to how an opera is and I never thought I would actually be able to go to one. My parents are also very excited about the trip. No one in my family has ever traveled anywhere other than central america so they are expecting me to take many pictures for them and share all my experiences about the trip. I can’t wait for friday!
